Hiring a Dryer Technician in New Mexico
New Mexico has no appliance-repair-only license; installing, repairing and servicing natural gas piping and listed gas appliances falls under the Construction Industries Division's MM-2 natural gas fitting classification. Source: CID License Classifications and Scopes (City of Albuquerque)
Natural gas piping and gas appliance work needs a Construction Industries Division MM-2 (natural gas fitting) or MM-98 (mechanical) license, with journeyman gas fitter certification for workers; the plumbing-only MM-1 class excludes gas appliances and gas piping, and LP gas systems fall under a separate LP gas classification.
